Up at 12. Slowly get cleaned up and eat at "I-Hop". Call Dave R. - tells us we play tomorrow in Phoenix and then to Austin Texas. We play there [Austin] the 4th and start recording on the 10th.

The end of the tour is in sight!

We leave for Hollywood to play at the "Scream" club. Supposed to get there at 4:30 and check at 5:30 - we arrive and don't check until 6:30. We do get to play new stuff. We hang out - this is a "New York style" club - open at 10PM until 4AM. There are three opening bands. The second is actually pretty cool and they are nice guys - "the Flamethrowers". I hang out and the others leave for parts unknown. I drink and hang out. Lee's friend Shelly arrives - she leaves to tries to find the others but returns without any luck. The bands play - we mostly stay in the dressing room and drink.

I couldn't find specific info on the Scream club but this page on the Rat Sound website is full of show listings there. There are also some old flyers from the old LA punk scene there too.

We eventually go on at 2:30AM. Play - lots of technical problems - an off night. Afterwards we hang out. Rodney talks to Mike from "Tex And The Horseheads". He and John Doe and others came to see us - shit - wish we had played a better show. He said they liked it ton's though. We packup and leave at 4:30AM. Rod and I go with Shelly, Amy and another girl to a party at a "Ritzy" hotel. No party - drink coffee - a generally shitty time. Drive back to Huntington Beach - hell ride - wish I had gone with others. Get to bed at 7AM. Out of California tomorrow [today!].

I seem to remember driving in the back of a convertible on the LA freeways at top speed and the girl driving was dodging in and out of traffic and tractor trailers. Of course we had been drinking all night too.
