Thanksgiving - Up at 11 or so - "hangover city". We go to "Denny's" for breakfast. I call home and talk to my grandparents. We are going to San Diego to stay with 'Mojo Nixon' for Thanksgiving dinner. We drive down (Matt and Rich come with us). Arrive at 5PM. Mojo's not home yet. Hang out at a liquor store. We buy him a bottle of Wild Turkey. Rod and I start drinking Fosters Lager. We finally get him at home and pick up beer and I drive over. Cool house. We hang out with Mojo and Scott the roadie [Bullethead - later his manager]. Mojo bought 10 swanson Hungry Man TV dinners!

Well - at least we all had "Turkey" on Thanksgiving! Mojo has a website. He recently played his last show at a SXSW convention. Here's his page on the radio station site. We hooked up with him today because we were both on Restless Records. The photo shows Matt[?], Dean, Lee and Rodney with Bullethead on the green chair. We hang out and drink and tell stories. We meet Mojo's live in girlfriend and her son, the kid he calls "the 3 foot antichrist!". We drink some more. Skid shows up and we hang out and drink some more. Various people watch Letterman. Rod and Dave and I have an argument. Carry stuff in at 1:30AM. Rod acts up and we scuffle (I remember the first tour fight). I'm tempted to bust his butt but resist and cool out. Back inside Dave and I talk with Mojo and go to bed at 2:30. Dave and I finish the whiskey before bed. We'll pay tomorrow!

I remember his son had a small kiddie drum kit in his room and performed his "I like to fart" song for us - the ending involved him falling off the drum throne! I have no idea what the argument or the fight was over. Probably the booze and the exhaustion of the tour finally getting to us.
