Show Day - Sunny/Cool

Up at 12:30 or so. I slept well. Dan had gotten up early to walk around. We got the room for another night. After we all clean up we walk to eat at a deli - had a great soup and sandwich. Back to hotel then walk some more. Go to a bookstore and Joe sends flowers to his parents for their anniversary. We wander around and then go to USF for an interview. I call home. Nina got accepted for Rome - cool. Mum and dad are OK.

'USF' is the University of San Francisco. Rome as in Rome Italy - my sister did a semester of college there.

Go to club and load in. Run into Barbara Manning from the now defunct '28th Day'. We go to her house - "Hotel Hell" and make our own dinner - chicken burritos. Meet her cool roommate Gina and hang out. Back to VIS and sound check at 8PM - OK sound. 'Mr. T Experience' is opening - cool guys. We hang out and drink. Mr. T plays a good set. We play a good show - both my snare drums bust but I made it through the show. 70 people - I don't think the promoters did a good job promoting the show. Hang out, pack up and crash at 1:30 or so.

Barbara Manning is still making music. "Hotel Hell" was a beautiful old Victorian home known for letting bands crash on the floor and hanging out (yes - that picture is really it). We had a great time there. The "Gina" mentioned is Gina Arnold who later went on to write "Route 666: The Road to Nirvana" among other things. The Mr. T Experience were fantastic.
