Up and out by 12. Eat next door at "Apple Tree". Good diced ham and eggs. Drive East to Butte, then South into Idaho. Yes - Idaho actually exists!. We wind up in Idaho Falls for the evening at 6:30 or so - about half way to Boise. Load into "Motel 6" then eat. We locate a laundromat and wash all our dirty clothes. Back to room and watch "First Blood" Rambo movie. Write and TV OD. To bed at 2AM. I have a hard time sleeping.
Posted by Dean at November 15, 1986 10:36 PMHere's the letter I received addressed to J.C. & B.B.B. (John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band Fan Club). I used to address letters to the Milkmen with awful bands:
11-15-86.
Dear Brian,
I know it’s a long time since you wrote noticing that your letter to us was postmarked Sept. 11. We have been touring this great country of ours since the 12th (of Sept.) so we are naturally a little behind on the mail. Currently we are in Idaho somewhere and except for some snow everything has been going great. Rambo is on TV right now (we’re staying in a “Motel 6”) WOW! Rambo is better at killing people than even Chuck Norris!
Thanks for the RUN DMC picture. We tried to do a parody of them (RUN DMC) in our video.
Hopefully we will be home in January to do some shows around Philly. Hopefully we’ll mail out show dates in advance this time (like The Fondas do - how they do it I don’t know - do you know of The Fondas?)
Well. Rambo has me rivetted to the television so there’s no point in me continuing this letter. My brain is just about gone - Thanks for writing,
Joe Jack
