Up at 11. I have a bagel and coffee with April and the other guy at the house. We talk and eat. Dan calls for Joe - he's not up yet (find out later that they went to Mount Rushmore). After he calls, Dave R. calls. I talk to him for a while and find out that our records are going to be out on CD. Talk of this and that. He saw 'Glass Eye' in DC and said they were good. He'll get back to us on interviews. Other wise - I hang out in the kitchen.
Wow! Dead Milkman compact discs! I wish now that I went along to Mount Rushmore. Lee and the others actually got interviewed for the local TV news. A reporter and camera man were there doing a "Why are folks out here on one of the #@!$% coldest days of the year!?!" story.
At 1:30 or so Dan, Lee and Dave B. arrive. They dropped Dave's bass amp off to be fixed and had an appointment to get the heating fan fixed in the van at 3PM. I stay and others go and eat and to drop the van off. While they're gone, I jam with the roommate. We play for a while and others return at 5 - they had walked.
Nice to support the local music store in downtown Rapid City SD!
Dan arrives later with van all fixed. We pack up and drive to Sheridan Wyoming. We sleep about 2AM after watching the end of "The Bride" with Sting and Jennifer Beals. Sleep. Off to Bozeman Montana tomorrow. Show at "The Filling Station".
The Bride - It must have been mighty special watching this at 2AM in Sheridan Wyoming - what, with Sting as Dr. Frankenstein, a character called "Rinaldo the Midget" and even a part played by Quentin Crisp!
