October 29, 1986 - Bowling Green, OH

Day Off - Cold/Cloudy

Up at 1:30. Wash up. Dan had delivered the van to a Ford dealer - should be done at 5. He and Joe went to do wash - the four of us get up and go downtown. Diner - OK food - its cold - 47°. Back to our "apartment". Rod, Dave and Lee go to do wash. I stay and write and listen to tapes by the fire. They all get back about 5 with the van. We pack up and stay goodbye (we do 2 phone interviews).

Drive and eat at "Chi-Chi's" - our waiter Ted was OK - we all had fun with him - not really teasing - just our usual silliness. As we leave Dave Blood hands him some DM stickers - "Oh! Eat Your Paisley" - he knew who we were. We had gone out the door but he talked with Dan.

We drive as far as Bowling Green Ohio. Stay at the University Motor Lodge - a nice place - large rooms, 2 sinks etc. Watch a great Letterman and then "Badlands" with Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen. I shower and wash my hair - I can sleep late tomorrow.

Here's the info on "Badlands" from the Internet Movie Database. I just watched the trailer and remember none of this movie.

Just wondering, did you guys ever play B.G.? I've been there a few times and know Howards Club H as a great venue to play there, also it is a collage town where you probably had a good following at the time (also tend to be around 3-1 ratio girls to guys)
