Woke up at 10 or so as Lee and Dan go running. I sleep and wake at 10:20 then get up a shower. We are all out by 11:45. Eat at the "Kettle" restaurant. Drive to Tuscaloosa Alabama. We stop on the way to get drinks. Dave B. gets to try boiled peanuts - he doesn't like them too much - Lee finishes up driving mostly. Dan drives the last hour or so.

We don't get boiled peanuts up North.

We check into the "Days Inn" and then go eat at "Shoneys". Back to the room - Rod stays and we go to the movies to see "Stand By Me". Reminds me of my childhood in Trumbaursville PA. I wasn't as wild as these kids but we did some of the same stuff. Then back to the room (Lee and I had a beer at the bar across the way from the movie theater in the mall while we waited for Dan to come out of "Jumpin' Jack Flash". He said it was an "OK" movie). Watch TV - to sleep about 3AM.

"Stand By Me" is a classic. "Jumpin' Jack Flash" is not.
