Day Off - Warm/Sunny

Up at 11 for breakfast. To post office, got to Enigma. We stayed for about two hours - treated very nice. Got copy of "Variations". "Restless Records" is our label now. Got copy of cassette cover (cassettes out Friday) - looks good. Album out in April - 11th or so. Art should arrive on Friday as well.

"Variations" was the "Enigma Variations" sampler album with "Bitchin' Camaro" included on it. The cassette release and album out on the 11th mentioned is this Enigma compilation. I think the artwork arrival mentioned refers to the "Eat Your Paisley" art that I had Teddie at the DP finish up. Enigma was reorganizing at this point. We were still with Fever Records in Philly but they had a distribution deal with Enigma. At this point Enigma grouped the more indie bands together under the name "Restless Records", and kept the more mainstream/metal acts under the "Enigma" label. It was also sort of divided along the sales number lines because later when "Punk Rock Girl" hit it big we were bumped over to Enigma again.

Everybody excited about the release party tomorrow. Lots of people are to be there. We'll play with Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper, and 28th Day. We leave and drive to Vince and Terry's in Irvine - have dinner. See the twins - then to KUCI for an interview on Claire's show - great fun like last time. Leave about 11PM. to Lee's. Sit around, TV and to bed.

Terry was Dave R.'s aunt. We stayed with her on our first tour - summer 1985. We also met Claire and the folks at KUCI on the first tour. More on Mojo and 28th Day tomorrow.
