Day Off - Sunny/Warm

Up at 2PM. Eat and go to Foothill College for an interview. It was fun because instead of an interview we played 'Password'. Joe and I against Rod and Dave. Fun, silly and different. Left for Berkeley - radio interview. Pull records - I got to hear "In the Streets" by Alex Chilton [Big Star]. Nice interview. Ate Mexican on campus. Back to S.F. - go to Eric's house/ Have hot tea and do a good 45 minute interview. Dave R. helps Eric with GD's tour schedule ['Glorious Din']. Leave at 9:30 - 10. Drive to hotel South of S.F. again. Too tired to drive 8 hours to Los Angeles. To sleep 1AM.

Yeah! I was there that day! I was working board late night at KFJC that year (not that interview, though) and found some excuse to linger around the studio to see you guys -- Big Lizard was getting a lot of play and (I think) you were promoting Eat Your Paisley that tour.

I was in the cheering section with that funny black-clad goth/theater-type girl (she made the weird pink cookies in the stinky couch room). That was one of the best interviews I can remember.

Actually - we were still promoting the Big Lizard album. 'Paisley' was being recorded still. We left on this tour with some overdubs and mixing still to do.

The 'stinky couch' room'!?!
