My diary entry for August 28 claims we had the day off which we spent in Columbus OH:
Day off in Columbus. Second to last day of tour. Record shopping on High Street. Then Dave B., Rodney and I went to TKA's (Tim A. of The Offense) sister's house (I think her name was Julie) to watch a video of Nick Cave's Columbus performance (taped at Stache's) and an interview with Cave and Harvey. Excellent performance. Funny interview. Dean and Dave R. stayed at Happy's and went out for pizza. After video, Dave B. and I played several lousy but fun games of Star Trek pinball. Back to Happy's for some prank phone calls, David Lettermen, and sleep.

And here is my final entry, for August 29:
Last day of the tour. Morgantown. Show with very good spunky fun young band called The Larries. Bought their 7 inch. Not a bad show. (Underground Railroad - name of club.) Good radio interview too. Nice way to end the tour.
Went back to PA that night, through a lot of fog. Slept at Rod's house.

I'll note that we played a few more shows with the Royal Crescent Mob over the years. Happy is still playing music - both solo and with his band Howlin' Maggie. I think he even did some time with Greg Dulli and the Twilight Singers.
Posted by: Dean at January 26, 2004 10:59 PMTwilight Singers is the band from former Afghan Whigs frontman (Greg Dulli). Greg is also the other twin in the upcoming project The
Gutter Twins with Mark Lanegan.
Twilight Singers do a really great show for the cost of the ticket which is cheaper than the CD. I have seen them several times and they
always play over 2 hours and do Afghan Whigs songs at the Shows! They rock as much as the Afghan Whigs with the same singer.
From what I can tell - Happy is not playing on this tour or with the Twilight Singers anymore.
