Sat around. 'Glass Eye' made calls and tried to nail down club where show will be. Hopefully at South Bank - a new club - not sure it will be open. Maybe the Beach Club. We make calls and tell tour stories etc.
Funny, but that was the way things worked in Austin - real casual. We'd get to know a bit of this town over the next few years after we hired Brian Beattie (Glass Eye bassist and singer) to produce three of our albums. He liked to work in Austin so we'd set up camp for a month or two and make a record.
Call Colin - no news. Hang out. Scott and we go to Kinko's and make posters for the show - South Bank club. Hang out on main street and put posters up. Found Heartbreak Comix - Boswell - Reid Fleming dude. Buy beer - back to house. Drink, talk, to bed.
Scott was the drummer for Glass Eye. Here's www.reidfleming.com! Read issue #1 online! When in Austin, you'd better be drinking Shiner Bock or you're not drinking with me!
