July 23, 1985 - Norman, OK

Day Off - Sunny/Hot

Woke up at 10:30. Drank red juice and lay around. Dave R. and I went for coffee. Made calls - Tulsa guy is a fucking asshole wimp. Calls, calls, calls. Traded numbers with Michelle. Got a show in Dallas with a $200 buck guarantee. Denver and Boulder shows are not looking good. Having a hard time finding a place to stay. We'll stay with Michelle tonight - leave town tomorrow and stay at a youth hostel? We'll find out in the morning.

I have no memory of why I was so angry at the Tulsa fellow. Maybe its just that we're out here in the middle of America and things are looking a little dire.

Ordered pizza - ate late. Went for a swim and lazed around. Watched TV. Called Enigma - our record is HOT!?! To sleep about 2AM or so.

Nice to hear the record is "HOT", but that wasn't really helping us put food in our mouths and keeping the van running...

A plain pizza could keep us happy (except Dave Blood who doesn't eat pizza).

I prefer not to eat pizza with ham and pine-apple (tried this during our trip to Hawaii), or mushrooms (its a texture thing...).

I do like to have anchovies once an awhile.

Enough about pizza - lets move on.

I love ham and pineapple on my pizza! Once I was in Finland, waiting in the airport for my flight home, and went to a little restaurant for some lunch. They had pizza on the menu, broken down by nationality. I asked the waitress what was on the "American Pizza". She told me, "It's, you know, how they eat pizza in America!"
"And how, exactly, is that?" "You know- with ham and pineapple!" So I ordered it. It came with ham and pineapple and BLEU CHEESE!! Very odd...
