Show Day - Sunny/Hot

Woke at 9AM. Got cleaned up (me - no shower or shave - cleaned my contacts). Went to the "Egg & I" restaurant for breakfast. Left Minneapolis 11:30 or so. Dave R. drove the whole way. Made good time to Milwaukee - 5.5 hours. Got to club at 5 or so.

Ate at Burger King. Back at club. Cafe Voltaire - nice place, free beer - pool table. Set up and did sound check. Good sound - off to radio show. Got lost - got to station late and only had time to announce the show. Back at the club, Killdozer had checked. Play video games, drank, pinball and pool.

Killdozer went on at 10:45. Played a great set. I liked them much better - covered LaGrange, Smooth Operator by Sade, and Sweet Home Alabama. Played for an hour. We went on at 12:15 - play an hour. Sloppy set - not a very good show - monitor mix was changed - Joe's guitar was too loud at first, then I couldn't hear it at all. Joe broke a string third song in - the momentum was broken already. Crowd put up with it though. Joe was going wild with his guitar. The Fez was incredible. Got paid $100 - asked back. Stayed with Becky's (Rich Poor's girlfriend) friend 'K' - cute, but a bit of an air-brain...nice house. I was tired and extremely dirty. I got a shower and shaved. Felt much better. To bed about 3:30 or so.

Killdozer were lots of fun. And I think free beer = sloppy set...no excuses.
