cold hard ground lyrics

Postby bucintoro » Thu Aug 27, 2015 7:35 am

hey guys! I was looking for the cold hard ground's lyrics and it wasn't not very hard to find it, but it was really uncomfortable to see this strange line in the chorus: "Cause tonight she'll be a lyin' in the cold hard ground". I mean not the line itself but the article "a" before the "lyin' in the cold hard ground." I understand that this thing doesn't change the meaning of the song but actually I don't hear it in the song. so which line is true - "she'll be a lyin'" or "she'll be lyin'"? and if the first one is right, why is that?

do I look like a bitch?

man, or anyone just explain this shit, please. I don't hear this article in the song and I haven't ever heard about such articles before the -ing form. maybe it even does change the meaning of the line, idk.

wow, man, thanks! now I get it. I read that it's not only old timey but also a southern thing. :)
