Nomeansno is definitely one of the best punk band out there. They started out in the late 70s (probably 78-79) and still rock today. They play this intricate (but not self-indulgent or pretentious) blend of weird jazzy stuff and hardcore. It's awesome, yet listenable.

You can get a lot of bootleg stuff on their official website's message board under the Live Show Shares section :
http://www.nomeanswhatever.com/forum2/
(The band is all for sharing things like that, as well as any out of print material)

You can also get samples of their music on their myspace :
http://www.myspace.com/myspaceiswrong
as well as on Last.fm :
http://www.last.fm/search?q=Nomeansno&from=ac

You should definitely check them out. They are Canada's pride. Well, for people with taste, that is. (Don't expect to hear a band that sounds anything like the Milkmen though. Completely different stuff.)

Here are some of my fave Nomeansno songs :
Big Dick : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4eY59blvSM
It's Catching Up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPyAii6f-hc
Oh No! Bruno! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQLFpJuZ8zI
Graveyard Shift : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYpdTHpnJ4Y

And their big "hit", Rags & Bones :

You make it sound like I'm a teenager! :D
A couple of months ago, I was in line at the movie theatre while on a visit in Quebec and I didn't notice that one of the clerks was free so the young teenage girl behind me in the line said "Ma'am, you can go to that clerk." Now, in French, there are two ways to say "you" ("tu" and "vous") depending on if it's formal or not and she used the FORMAL one! She called me Ma'am and used the formal "you". I felt old for the first time.

You're only as old as you feel. If you've got a good back you aren't old!

Haha, that's funny.

I threw my back out yesterday ducking to get into the car.

Apparently I sprained one of the joints. Who even knew that was possible?

Nooooo No Eve, your jumping in your mind from Young to Old, but there is this fantastic bit in the middle which is where you are at now which is called "Superior" as in your old enough to do all that stuff, but still young enough to know your mother would not like to hear the details :)
you know where you are truely "Old" when your mother practically gives you a round of applause for doing something she would have beaten the life out of you for when you were young!!!
When she starts writing to all your relatives about it thats also when you discover what terribly Low Expectations shes always had of you, but thats a whole other rant.
ps, whats the formal french for "you could be a model once you've out grown the Puppy Fat" ?

I should point out that I don't really "feel old" generally speaking... I love my life and I'm not afraid of turning 30 or anything.
It was just weird that incident because just a few months ago I was still getting IDed!

Trust me lamp, me and crumbs(my best friend whos the only other punk I know) cant walk down the street without getting chased or beat up by a bunch of god damn cholos. Everything in orange county is hip hop, especially in anaheim/tustin. I know theres a scene in fullerton, but we dont live in fullerton, or brea for that matter, but yeah im sure theres like a couple more of em, but i think theyd be hard to find.
