Its a fluffy romance mystery series with a bunch of supernatural boners trying to get inside a telepathic barmaids fairy-castle.

So if you aren't too squeamish about vampire sex and werewolf boners its all good and a nice way to pass the time when you get sick of super serious books. It was a welcomed change of pace after listening to The Prince.
Strangest coincidence ever,!!!
after posting I went to work and when i got home I was too tired to do my usual stuff ( I got posted to the Lottery Kiosk on a roll over week end, it gets nasty at times like that) so flopped in front of the TV, guess what came on.... ! its new here in the Uk, been runing only the last three or so weeks, and now I have back episodes to watch, the episode I caught ended with sookies grandmother on the floor with her throat ripped out, which is sad because as a character she seemed adorable.
Naturally it cannot be the vamps who are doing this so there has to be a serieal killer arround, my current suspect is the quiet bar guy who sookie cannot read because its all emotions and stuff rather than clear thoughts.

Funny,(we'll kind of sad really.) The Ramones are kind of the Anti Spinal Tap.
In Spinal Tap, all the drummers died. The Ramones, every body else died EXCEPT the drummers. (CJ is still alive, but I really never considered him a full patch member. Long may he live.)
So Eve, in honour of you getting a good job reference, I will wear my Ramones shirt, and load up their first album in my Ipod. Gabba Gabba Hey!
(I read that when the Ramones were starting out they were not trying to take a new genre of music to the world. Their main goal was to compete with the Bay City Rollers. For those that don't know that name, look it up on Wikipedia.)

Oh my word, The Bay City Rollers, eh, well I lived through Roller mania, it was not nice all that tartan and shang a lang stuff, especially when your the only kid in school not into it.
They did a documentary over here on what happened to the Millions the Rollers made , seems Tam the manager "Lost" or "miss placed somewhere" most of the money they made,
the lead singer was shown visting his local shop buying booze and ranting on about seeing Tam again to ask "Wheres my Fucking money" by the looks of him perhaps poverty was for the best, more money = more Booze.
They almost got a re-union tour going but it fell apart at the last moment, ( I actually know someone who bought tickets!) when the drummer was arrested for child pornography, ah but then all this and more will be on wickipedia.

Read many years ago that one of them was making porn. (This is long before everybody was filming themselves with their camera phones.) True? Who knows, but kind of sad about the singer.

I would like to go on record as maintaining that “Nobody beats Dee Dee.”
Any band that can make a song called “The KKK Took My Baby Away” fun and catchy is obviously doing something right.

I think they were an early "Manufacture Boy band" none of them were real musicians, just a group of working class lads who wanted the sucess more than the creditability of producing a song/sound/style, that was there own, its very understandable but nearly always has a tragic end , unless they had been able to maintain some form of personal creative morality they were doomed.
I heard that Les the lead singer has since been on a tv reality show called rehab ? on which he confessed to being bisexual , hes been married for a long time to a japanese Girl and shes reportedly very upset about this, but here in the Uk its very much the current thing to make the "Shock" statement so I would not be at all surprised if it wasn't a case of "Doing it for the cameras" ........ success must be a helluve burden if it happens when your young.
For the record the ramones way out classed the Rollers.

More Ramones trivia that you really don't need (or want), to know. "The KKK Took my Baby Away" was written by Joey, who was quite left leaning, in response to Johnny, who was right wing, stealing Joey's girlfriend. Apparently the relationship between the two bandmates was strained after that.
I was watching a show on tv a number of years ago. Some dude was giving a tour of the hotel in NewYork, (the Chelsey?), where celebrities, including Dee Dee lived.
"And this is the apartment of Dee Dee Ramone. Would you like to come out and say hi Dee Dee?"
"F##K OFF", was screamed from behind the door.
And he was dead soon after.

The Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir.
I picked up the Cd for 99 cents. Aparently it's some comedian who's gig is to rail against big retail, like WAL-MART.
I haven't been brave enough to listen yet. (I need to wait until my wife, who is a retail manager, is long out of listening range.)
But when I finally do hear it, I will give you an update.
