That reviewer and your record are the proverbial ships passing in the night. The guy obviously hasn't heard the record--if he had heard track 1, he'd have known something new was going on. Thankfully, there is not one person in the New York metro area who will forego your show based on that review. I just think it's sweet that you and your record are acknowledged in the pages of the New Yorker, amidst the ads for Leboutin shoes and retirement communities in North Carolina. The juxtaposition is rather bracing!

That's strange. The first time I read the blurb I thought it was favorable. I suppose it's a matter of interpretation.

I'm really looking forward to playing Warsaw again. I hope they still make pirogies.
