What a lot of money spent on an update of the 1979 ALIEN paradigm. With that mega budget they could've made a REAL movie...like Joe Haldeman's FOREVER WAR or Christopher Priest's INVERTED WORLD.

What I learned watching Prometheus:
In the future high tech spaceships will cruise the stars, but wheelchair technology will be hopelessly mired in the 19th century. The highest tech weapon of the future??? The flamethrower.
