Hollywoodland wags are all abuzz about the upcoming big budget, big screen remake of 60's sitcom, Hogan's Heroes, which is to be lensed soon with a 2012 release date set. Quentin Tarantino, fresh off the Oscar circuit with Inglorious Basterds had signed on to direct. The cast will include Daniel Day-Lewis in the role of Col.Hogan.

Other stars linked with the project are 50 Cent as Kinchloe, Neil Patrick Harris as Corporal LeBeau, David Spade as Technical Sergeant Carter and Jude Law as Corporal Newkirk.

Rounding out the Axis will be Willem DaFoe in the role of Colonel Klink, Jack Black as the bumbling Sqt.Schultz with Angelina Joile as Fräulein Helga. PG-13, summer 2012

Of course I'm being facetious. The part of Hogan will be played by Greg Kinnear. Uwe Boll to direct. Helga will still be played by Angelina Jolie.
