The video podcast my band mate is hosting, and for which I'm providing equipment and sound engineering services, is going to premiere soon:

I dig the concept and design of the show, looks like it'll be fun! At first I felt awkward for the interviewee as she was singing, stuck in front of the camera. Or rather, I'd feel awkward if it were me in front of the camera... |

Yeah, you won't find me on that side if the camera. She's our first guest to sing without accompaniment. We recorded a guy yesterday who played through his own amp (an amazing custom built amp in an awesome custom cabinet, and he wanted it in the shot) and it turned out great.
If anyone here is going to be in SF over a weekend and feel like being a guest in front of our camera, let us know. Hopefully it'll be a weekend we can record. |

Nice work Seven!
Why won't you get in front of the camera!

Thanks Dean! I can't wait for the more recent sessions to come out. After trying several configurations with equipment I already had on hand I finally just got a Tascam DP-40 portable recorder and it changed everything... for the better. It's a crazy-simple setup now and sounds awesome. That little recorder is a 4 track to boot!
I guess I won't say never. I may do one someday. I would be happy to accompany you if you come out and do one... |
