Did you see em, when they played CA.

Was talkin' to Shawn of Mischief Brew, when they played my hometown,
'coz they did the support, when AMEBIX played Philadelphia.
Was hopin' the whole Woodshop Films show would pop up somewhere.

They are AMAZING

Koroshira Ichi (Ichi The Killer) soundtrack, by Karera Musication

I love this philosophical (enlightenment via pain) Yakuza movie, so I had to get the soundtrack. Karera Musication is really The Boredoms, mostly.

Donno... sounds like we need to hook up and share music sometime!

Exhausted... we need to get you some more Goblin.

Speaking of which, I owe some crazy tunes to Lunchmeat. Hey Lunchmeat... you out there?!? I'm going to make Lonnie listen to every single Wesley Willis song ever recorded, non-stop!!!

Anyways... the past two days I've had Blur on the brain. There's a DVD out there of their 2009 Glastonbury performance that absolutely rocks. Right now I'm still living out of boxes (moved back to Utah) and I'm not even going to try to find it.

Blur
Keb'Mo
Queen Ida and the Bon Temps Zydeco Band (saw them when I was 7 years old)
Doug Kershaw (another one of my first concerts)
John Lee Hooker
Echo and the Bunnymen
Fiona Apple
Mike Doughty
Duane Eddy
Satan's Pilgrims
Bob Marley and the Wailers
Laika & The Cosmonauts
Henry Mancini
James Bond movie themes and soundtracks

Hey Wad, Im down with finding more Goblin. Blur is pretty good too. Also, I noticed you talking about Wesley Willis and I immediately started thinking about the time I saw him play live and got an honorary Wesley Willis headbutt. Then even funnier...I noticed it said you were in Mesa Arizona under your screenname. It just so happens that the Wesley Willis show I went to was held at the Nile Theatre (R.I.P.) in Mesa Arizona when I lived there about 9 years ago. I also wanted to mention the new Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse album is pretty awesome. Lots of good collaborations (Frank Black, Iggy Pop, even David Lynch).

Sound Of Urchin- these guys "get" rock n roll, and pretty much the only current band i really love that has formed in the last 15 years (which is sad). you can see me rocking out like a jack ass quite a bit in this video

Doctor, my friend Andy's band is playing some shows in Washington soon. Dont know how close they are to you though. Actually they are both fairly close to Tacoma. If you like psychobilly or surf you will like these guys. http://www.myspace.com/demonipsycho

Some good picks there. The themes to the old spy TV shows & movies like Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Get Smart. Mancini's theme to A SHOT IN THE DARK.

Man! Wish I could have been the recipient of the WW headbutt.

I wasn't in Mesa for all that long... didn't get out much to see shows (mostly a money thing). I did catch Stan Ridgway a bunch of times at the Rhythm Room. Great little club! One thing that sucks is DEVO just played in Tempe, freakin' weeks after I move! I've been waiting to see them for a long time, but they never seem to play anywhere near me. Oh well...

Exhausted... drop me a line and we'll get your Goblin fix on.

I like DEVO's new album. I would LOVE to see them live. What were you in Mesa for? I was pretty poor too when I was out there...Pizza Delivery only goes so far, especially when you have no idea where anything is. I'll get ahold about the goblin thing.

I got it from him once. It was soft and squishy, but worth it. He made me say "rock" and then "rowl" as he did it too.

I was in Mesa because my wife opened and managed a new Cracker Barrel restaurant there. We moved from Utah to Missouri so she could get the experience opening a new store as an associate... then moved to Mesa where she finally got her own as general manager. A month ago, the bastards let her go over management personality B.S.

Now I'm up in a smallish town in the mountains outside of Salt Lake City... one valley over from Park City (think Sundance Film Festival). Beautiful area. My in-laws live here.

Yeah... I'm still pissed that I missed Devo. Oh well... waddayado?

ROCK OVER LONDON... ROCK ON CHICAGO.
ALWAYS... HAVE A HAPPY PERIOD.

(one ad slogan that I'm sad W.Willis never got the chance to use in a song)
