just bought tix for the balcony, there were literally like 15 tix left for up there and downstairs says "unavailable"...so did they not even go on sale yet or is the show 99% sold out aready?
anyhow here's your fair warning, get em while you can...which might be for the next hour or so.
FYI, balcony tix were only $25 (+$3 service), you can go upstairs or downstairs with them, and you get a table w/ waitress should you choose to hang upstairs. pretty nice, watched a show from up there for the first time this year when i had a broken ankle.
also, did i mention: YES!!!!!!!!! this show just made my day

I'd forgotten about this show. The blurb on the website isn't actually a ringing endorsement....

Playing a basic, happily amateurish brand of punk-pop, the Milkmen skewered popular culture, indie trend-followers, and the intellectually challenged, while frequently indulging their taste for tastelessness. Critics alternately praised and dismissed the band as geeky, juvenile wiseasses — virtually every review seemed to contain the word "sophomoric," and either you found them funny or you didn’t. But despite the mixed reviews, the Milkmen earned a devoted cult following (which famously included Detroit Tigers utility infielder Jim Walewander), a few novelty hits on college radio, and even an MTV hit with "Punk Rock Girl." As polarizing as their sense of humor was among critics, it was what fans wanted and came to expect, and attempts to move into more genuine, serious territory during the '90s effectively spelled the end of the band.

Translation: "If you really wanna pay money to see these a$$holes, we won't stop you - but don't say that you weren't warned.

Hopefully we'll have plenty of new songs ready by then. I'd love to play "Melora Says" and "Solvents: For Home and Industry" at this show.

Wow, that's a pretty shitty blurb. You guys are definitely much better than that! :)

man my band never achived any commercial sucess and we never got a 'cult following' from the baltimore folks -
THOUGH SOME OF OUR FANs MAY HAVE BEEN IN CULTS...and we pulled a better reviews than that one-
but we all know the truth -
the dead milkmen f'n rock - and i dont even cuss
and
ANY publicity is good publicity...

we dont play out anymore but all three main members of Lithium Dove have been LONGtime fans of DM!

I'm looking into making a PA weekend out of this show. Hit the show on Friday, crash in Philly then drive to Hershey Park on Saturday morning, probably go back to Philly after Hershey closes at 10PM. Hang out in Philly Sunday and possibly got home Monday morning, depending on what is available for time off. If anyone wants to join this mission, let me know.
