i got this new in the box answering machine from 1983 at goodwill the other day for like 6 bucks. instead of the caller leaving a voice message, they can only leave a numeric message.
i got a 2600 with like 8 games and manuals and a storage box for 6 bucks a few weeks ago.
and last week, i saved a fully functional analog synth from the local music store's garbage. i'm on a roll.

I didnt get this at a thrift store but at close enough prices i got a nice Ibanez gsa60 electric. And it is a pretty damn good guitar well anywas i got that and a 10 watt crate amp for 200 from a pawn shop so now if i can get the ernie ball hybrid nickle slinkys (yes i typed that out as if i wer lysdexic) Very Happy

and mess with the bridge a bit it will be supreme. Its a pity i left it in alabamy due to lack of a case.

I got a case full of inflatable easter rabbits one time for a buck, (I thougt they were worth a buck, so I just left a buck where the box I stole use to be) and blew them up at abreakfast in the cafeteria at skool. Kids are mean! They just came over to me and my bunny population and popped a whole lot of them. They're just a bunch of Jeffrey Dahmer Jrs.

I saw Jack White playing this crazy Jimmy Page or Billy Gibbons-esque guitar while the Stripes were on Conan promoting Icky Thump. That's such a bizarrely played song...

Just scored a jeweler's workbench for $10 at the Goodwill. A couple weeks ago it was an Epiphone Les Paul (bolt-on neck version) that was missing the bridge, tailpiece, and nut... $20. I just happen to have all the missing parts kicking around in my spare parts bin. I think I'll do a Frankenstein job on it and build some kid of messed-up effects pedal into it. The "Ugly Face" circuit comes to mind, if anybody does DIY effects and junk.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 DVD sets 1 and 2... $4 a piece! Set 1 was still sealed in its shrink-wrap.

ahh, my thread lives on. went to a flea market and auction last weekend. nothing. then, a couple of days ago, this guy was selling gear real cheap. got 2 57's for 20 bucks each and a huge peavey stage monitor for 20 bucks. pretty sure this guy never heard of the internet.

I got "The Best Of Bob Newhart" from a box of old tapes donated to my local Cats protection charity shop last week, played it to my son, who loved it as much as i do.
" Defusing a Bomb" is beyond superb, and need I mention "The driving instructor".
