Yeah I got into a pretty bad bike wreck coming down a pedestrian walkway I decided to be stupid and not slow down during the whole spiral os I accumulated up a good amount of speed and when I got to the bottom I didnt turn fast enough and I flew into the fence and bent the shit out of the back rim luckily I came out unscathed. The buffalo story will be postponed for a little bit longer fellas, too tired after today.

Since we're already on the subject of bike crashing...

Back when I was in 4th grade and living in Olympia Washington... I decided I was gonna ride down a somewhat steep hill and do it while not holding on to the handles. It was going just fine at first but then it got all shaky. By the time I tried to get things under control, the bike turned sharply to the left and I flew off scraping my hands and forearms up pretty good.

I could go on with more bike accidents.. but I need to get to bed.

Gotta bring it back up to the top. I made this thread a poll for a reason.

It's funny how much the original post of this thread makes me laugh now. The things that I used to worry about or find fun have all gotten to be one stale mushy mess and I'd rather have it that way honestly. I basically accepted that I enjoyed drinking/smoking and immeadiately after that they just became...not fun anymore. I went four months without smoking weed, then did it twice a month apart, those two times sucked so bad the thought of doing it again never even crosses my mind. I haven't kicked any sort of alcohol buzz since September. No motivation to do either of those things, probably better off. Not like I spent any money on this stuff on the first place, but if I'd gotten into it, then it would become a money drain.

Is this message board fun anymore? Well, it seems about the same as it's always been, I just think my perspective's changed. We all were talking about the same crap four years ago, it's just now I(and this probably goes for all of us) just realize that our thoughts aren't important anymore. I can't remember the last time I even started a thread, but that's how it goes.

Makes me realize life isn't any different now than it was in high school either, just the same self-importance factors come into play. Though I'm sure most of you guys on this forum have gone through the same thing already and know what I'm talking about.

School didn't work, but I knew it wouldn't. It did make for a good excuse to get out of working that bakery job though, and to confirm my belief that I'd rather work hard than work smart. I just wish I could get more hours, period. I'm supposed to get a bunch more shifts starting next week at the pizza place where I work(which is good money by the way) and I also help a guy out around his house for ten dollars an hour(all under the counter) doing stuff like painting, yard work, etc. The point is that the hours of my jobs aren't ridiculous like they used to be and I can actually wake up feeling rested since my shifts don't start in the middle of the night anymore. Learning isn't worth shit anyway, I can learn whatever I want and still have nobody to talk to about it, so I'm content to just kick back and watch the view...

Driving sure got boring. The inevitable "knowing where all the roads around here go" moment has come and gone. Not to mention I have digital cable with all the movie channels now, where I didn't have past channel 25 for about 3-4 years, so driving doesn't seem to matter as much anyway since I have a decent timekill and don't have to leave the house for it.

There's still plenty of shows too. I just go to them alone. I prefer going out alone most of the time now. Especially to someplace like a show. I move around while the band's are playing and find a nice corner to sit in when they're not. Or find a distro to flip through.

I'm not about to get into my opinion on relationships on a public message board but let's just say it's much more favorable now than it was before.

Life ain't bad, as long as you don't sweat the small stuff. A bit boring sometimes, but who's life isn't boring?

if you go into a wayback mahine and set it to when the ffa was fun, the board was made up of people remarking that this place sure is dead lately and remembering when the ffa was fun. also spam, which got deleted
and complaining about spam, which did not. and a whole lot of messages about how much everyone hates aaron rickels..

all of this has happened before. i was about to post a long ramble about the phenomenon, when i realized that i'd already done it, probably 2 or 3 years ago. anyways nostalgia for the good old days of the ffa has been going on since 1997, possibly much earlier. its like we're caught in a time loop

i think i've said that before too

These days have been as good as any other days. Funny how we only seem to remember the good things.

If anything, these days are BETTER because BTO isn't flipping out at us for every post we make.

In all honesty when this thread was first started I admit I had some things to say. But at this point I feel no need to sink in self pity and loathing. I work my ass off the summer is coming around and things are getting better. No sense in being a wet blanket in my opinion the year has just started.

I have nothing to say, but I didn't want the forum to get lonely.
