| The only nominee I've actually seen is Sideways, so I guess I'll go with that. |

I saw it twice. Once for free with a Q & A with the screenwriter, John August, after the screening, and then I paid to see it again a couple weeks later. It's no Garbage Pail Kids:the Movie, but it's good. _________________ happy cows give sour milk. |

For the first time in recent memory Hollywood gavethe Oscar to a film that DESERVED To win rather makings this a high profile Prom Queen contest. The best part is Cate Blanchette won best Supporting Actress for the Aviator. I really don't care that she won it was just the fact it was like rubbing Leonardos face in the fact he won't get an Oscar. Hollywood did it right this year. _________________ Gather round me everybody

The only nominated movie I saw was Sideways. It was good. Oscar worthy? I don't know, but I enjoyed it.
I also saw 'Ryan' the animated short film that one the oscar in it's category. Strong piece of work. A real masterpiece in its genre.
I think the ceremony was boring this year. Like almost every year. I wasn't surprised by any victory. Especially Jamie Foxx. It was so obvious he would win. He probably deserves it. I haven't seen Ray so I don't know... _________________ Ich bin der Musikant mit Taschenrechner in der Hand. |

| I thought Chris Rock was funny. "She gained 25 pounds to play Bridget Jones, now she's gaining 80 pounds to play Deacon Jones." |

I caught all of the nominees for Best Picture, except Sideways. Million Dollar Baby was a downer.
I was happy that Charlie Kaufman won for writing with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. _________________ "Nobody likes a quitter. Hell yeah. That's about the only category that anything that's actually good can still win. |

I wish I could agree with you Tarantula, If it wasn't for this category Ben Aflect wouldn't be an Oscar winner. That man does not deserve that title. _________________ Gather round me everybody

as the Oscars are over, I see no reason as to why I shouldn't use this thread to mention that i saw Dodgeball, on DvD last night, I found it funny, but, Im sure it was written with other actors in mind, it's like the timeing was just a bit off especially in the lead roles, and the whole film seemed to be built arround one long running joke that was kinda dated, so I'd say either the right people were not cast or the writers didn't push the humour far enough, I'd give it an 8 outta 10.
Then i watched Supersize Me.....now thats a straight 10....no question, as it was on DvD , I also got the extras, and the clip with the experiment involveing McDonalds Quater pounders and fries, which were left in bell jars to decompose was really shocking, as after 8 weeks the fries were not in any way decomposeing, no mould growth, nothing, thats so not right,i will never eat them again, and they were the only thing i would eat at Mc D's, I know both films have been out state side for ages, but I figure the board is quiet so it can stand a little old news. |

Seriously? Cool. Killer Klowns is so funny in a 'this is such a big piece of crap' way. I like when the balloon dog tries to find the human... _________________ Ich bin der Musikant mit Taschenrechner in der Hand. |
