That's a good song, I think it was the first Rush song I ever heard in fact. _________________ Trashlikeyourules.com
It's one thing to not like Rush, but to call them "horrible" is just wrong. They are incredible musicians.

Whatever. They don't have any ideas that aren't stale. You know technically speaking Yngwie Malmstein is an "incredible musician" but I don't wanna listen to him.
And "Spirit of the Radio" makes me puke it's so bad. SALESMEN!!! WHOA SALESMEN! |

Ok, I'm sort of saying the same thing and sort of not. Let me be blunt:
Good musicianship does not mean anything is worth hearing...new ideas are what makes music good. The Dead Milkmen for example are at best mediocre musicians, but they had good ideas and that's what we like. |

Agreed about technical ability being inferior to song writing ability.
Disagree about new idea's equaling good music. _________________ "I am an asexual pug " - Lamp |

| Well, I'll agree to disagree with you on that one. I understand all new ideas aren't brilliant, for example: Skat Metal just isn't catching on...but, if you aren't pushing the envelope and you're just rehashing something old, I don't see the point, either. Lenny Kravitz, I'm looking in your direction. |

Lenny Kravitz needs to join Dimebag Darrel in an early grave. _________________ Trashlikeyourules.com

Hahaha!!! Holy crap, that is awesome, but there are many more songs to add to that list. But yeah, U2 blows my sack. _________________ Trashlikeyourules.com

This sums up my feelings on sucky music in 2004 pretty well.
Yeah, but as trash said... there's so much more. I don't even count new U2 albums as music. _________________ It's alive! (nearly)

That wasn't the point of the article though. He just wanted to bash U2. Obviously there's much more, and he knows it. _________________ eh |

Oh, I agree absolutely. And it sums up my thoughts of U2 perfectly.
But it can't quite sum up my thoughts on 2004. There were so many abominations. _________________ It's alive! (nearly)

The song that made me cringe the most would be that song with the chorus "I GOT 99 PROBLEMS BUT A BITCH AINT ONE LOL!!!!!"
Every time I heard that song at work I wanted to throw a large plate at someone. _________________ eh |
