I am in Dublin Ireland and I want to go to the gig in Philly. Is anybody else traveling from Europe to go and see it? They only one of my friends who might go can't afford the flights. $650. I Really want to go but not sure if it is worth going on my own. I only herad today about the gig hence the late arrangements.
I still kick myself that I didn't get to see the Berlin wall coming down. I was 16 so I wasn't allowed go but a friend of mine just went on his own against orders. I should have done the same. Belive it or not I see this as significant to me.
I need a bit of encouragement to go, so if anybody thinks I should just go on my own let me know. Even better if anybody else from Dublin wants to go let me know. I'll be looking closely.
Am I mad to want to go? Are they worth going to see? Is anybody else travelling a stupid disatance? |

Come on over to Philly. Enjoy the show. But get your tickets first. The Sunday show is sold out. Monday might sell out as well.
Good luck, and I will look for the person dressed as Elvis. _________________ "Nobody likes a quitter. Nobody said that life was easy, so if you get knocked down, take the standing 8 count, get back up and fight again and you're a Macho Maniac. Dig it!" -Macho Man Randy Savage |

So now we have North America, Europe, and Austrialia. All we need is a drug dealing Columbian for South America, an sumo wrestler from Japan for Asia and a Punk Rock Penguin for Antartica. The Penguin would be cool. _________________ Gather round me everybody

Yeah, go. And if you're worried about being on your own, come meet up with us. We've already got a big group - the more the merrier.
And yeah, I'm coming from Australia, and I spoke to one guy who's coming from Japan! |

Well the bit of encouragement has spured me on. I am closer to going now. Looks like I have convinced my sister and brother to travel down from Boston to meet me in Philly. This way I get more out of the whole deal. Anything I should bring over from Ireland that you don't have in the US?
What's the deal with the Sunday vs Monday gig?
For all you people voting me to be a bitter twisted man don't worry I don't think one gig will prevent my path to the dark Force.
Who is going to have a beer with me at the gig? |

I wouldn't bring anything from Ireland. As we all know the IRA are from Ireland and any connection with terrorists could do you harm. ;)
I don't think there's any deal with Sunday vs. Monday, but from memory Rodney assured us that there are different setlists.
As kk said, we like beer. Tell us where to meet you and it's done. |

I am driving down from Boston. Was your brother or sister at Joe's show in MA?
I will watch you and kksuck2 and The Tarantula drink beer while I have a rum and coke. _________________ "Nobody likes a quitter. Fancy taking another person? My sister and brother can't make it after all so I am going to fly to them and then on to Philly. Neither of them were interested in the gig I was their attraction to Philly. Strange to think music they hated could bring us together.

I'm Irish I'll drink anything but Guiness abroad.
Must have mistjuded my age I was 15 when the Berlin wall fell so that explains why my mother wouldn't let me go.
Still have to buy a concert Ticket too! |

Belive it or not but me and friend once found him really drunk on the street and picked him up and brought him with us to a party! Normaly we would bring along a traffic cone name it Leonard and then cliam we brought Leonard Cone (Cohen) to the party. We became a legends shortly afterwards, for Shane not the many Leaonards! |

The two of us also managed to get a lift off The Edge once too. We claimed we lived really close to him so would he give us a lift. We were really drunk, to our surprise he said yes. We were half way toward his area before we told him we actually lived on the complete opposite side of the city. He actually turned around and dropped us off at the bus stop to our area. He made a big deal when we were getting out saying things like " I'll see you tomorrow" "will you please record the backing vocals for us". Nice bloke !
If you were Irish I could tell you the insulting joke we told him about U2 which he had never heard. It's not a secret but might not make sense.
I know it all sound like BS but Dublin was quite small. It's a little different now but parts of the city are still the same. Temple Bar is not the way Dublin night life is for Dubliners. |
