Odds ‘N Ends

Aid or Invade, T-Shirts and Joe Jack Talcum
Long time no post eh? Here’s what I have:

There was a bizarre Milkmen mention over on Pitchfork the other day. I’ll let you decide how to take it. Who is going to play me?

I’ve updated the link to the T-Shirts to go straight on over to the good folks at Impact Merchandising. They’ve got the shirts, buttons and stickers for you all. There are even XXL sizes on some designs - so take a look.

Rodney is still over at RATYHTL. Be sure to check out his latest Aid or Invade column for the Philadelphia City Paper.

I’ve closed the sign-ups on the Free For All message board for now. I can’t seem to find a way to prevent spam and it was getting too hard to keep up with the flow. Sorry - it’s a closed sandbox for now.

the pitchfork mention is really confusing me. i can’t find any other mention of it—anywhere. and wtf do they mean by “milkmen apologists” and “reactionary/intolerant moments?” independent music is my life, but that is pure fucking wankery. i would appreciate if anyone can fill me in, maybe i’m naively misinterpreting it. dunno.

p.s. for anyone who doesn’t have it, joe jack’s cd on valiant is a MUST HAVE.
    love you guys!

i must say tho, i don’t know about adrien brody as Joe, but i think jeremy piven as rodney would be great; can’t really think about anyone who’s better suited

i didn’t bother to read any of the other blurbs or i would have realized…sheesh.

  10. godskidbrother Says:

ok, so after promptly embarassing myself by taking that pitchfork article somewhat seriously, i have another potentially stupid ? : this month’s bootleg from joe has a song called “alcohol” that’s really good. is it an original, or a cover of some classic band that i have never heard? thanks)

  11. godskidbrother Says:

ok, just saw that it’s a cheesies song. someone needs to do a little more research before posting
